Originally from Chicago, I'm an artist based in San Diego, CA. I focus on character-based illustration. I took my first serious art course while living in Italy in 2015, and have been drawing ever since. I graduated with a B.A. in Art from the University of Iowa, and completed a Drawing Certificate at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago.
My favorite art tools are ink brushes, fountain pens, felt-tip pens, and Blackwing pencils. I also draw digitally on a Wacom Cintiq and iPad. My greatest art influences are Superani artists Karl Kopinski, Peter Han, and Kim Jung Gi, comic artist Jim Lee, as well as portrait artist John Singer Sargent.
